TAPS™ at CANVAS 2025

Testing Ag Performance Solutions (TAPS™) will be featured in multiple sessions at CANVAS 2025 this November in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Since its launch in 2017, TAPS™ has grown into a multi-state, farmer-driven initiative where producers manage plots as if they were their own farms—making decisions on irrigation, nitrogen, seeding, and technology. With more than 85 percent of participants adopting new practices as a result of their involvement, TAPS™ is shaping on-farm strategies while also generating valuable research data to advance sustainable water and nutrient management.

Key TAPS™ Events at CANVAS 2025

Multistate Interest & Networking Meeting

Sunday, November 9 | 3:00–5:00 PM | Salt Lake City
This meeting will showcase programming and research from participating states, outline the goals of the national TAPS™ network, and invite discussion on opportunities for collaboration across seven or more states.

Oral Session (195): Advancements in Water & Nutrient Management

Tuesday, November 11 | 8:40 AM–12:00 PM | Salt Lake City
Presenters from Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Florida, Maryland, and other states will share research updates from TAPS™ programs. Talks will highlight producer-driven strategies for improving efficiency, profitability, and sustainability under real-world pressures of climate and aquifer decline.

Poster Session (330): Research Innovation Across TAPS

Tuesday, November 11 | 4:00–6:00 PM | Exhibit Hall AB
This poster session will feature projects from multiple universities and programs, with specialists, students, and producers showcasing research on irrigation timing, nitrogen management, soil dynamics, and new tools for farm decision-making.

These sessions demonstrate the power of collaboration between producers, researchers, and industry. TAPS™ bridges the gap between research and practice, ensuring that innovation is tested, refined, and applied in real fields with measurable results.

From on-farm adoption to cutting-edge research applications, TAPS™ represents a national and international network working together to build a more sustainable and resilient agricultural future.

We invite you to join us at CANVAS 2025 and be part of this conversation on the future of farmer-led, water-smart agriculture.
